Lowcountry native in Top 10 on “American Idol”

For Candice Glover, being a contestant on “American Idol” has been a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, she’s chasing her dream of becoming the next “Idol” and furthering her music career; on the other, the 23-year-old misses the comfort and familiarity of life on St. Helena Island.

She will perform again along with the other “Idol” finalists from 8-10 p.m. tonight. The results show will be from 8-9 p.m. Thursday.
