Juneteenth pop-up show calls for Black artists

A note for Black #SCArtists that came to Hub HQ this week…

“Curators + Artists Lauren Ashlee and KELA are facilitating a pop-up show for Juneteenth 2024 to showcase your creations in Charleston. We are thrilled to have you submit your work for this exhibition as a Black local artist! The theme is open for you to select a piece of artwork of your own choice that you feel closely connected with to share for this event.

The deadline to submit your work for this event is Saturday, June 1. The official dates and location for this event are still being confirmed, though we will inform you of these details as soon as possible.”

The organizers welcome all media and all ages. Media examples given include: paint, photography, video, watercolor, graphite, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, paper, jewelry, poets, writers, musicians, and performers.
