What happened to the gong in The Vista?
From the Post & Courier
An interactive, 8-foot by 8-foot public art piece commissioned to honor the late Marvin Chernoff in Columbia’s Congaree Vista (a South Carolina Cultural District) is the victim of a theft. The Columbia Police Department is investigating.
According to reporting by the P&C’s Josh Archote, “The art piece allowed people walking by to turn a small handle and ring the gong.” Gong in the Vista is the creation of artists Clark Ellefson and Matt Kramer.
