Late this morning, Gov. McMaster signed off on the General Assembly’s FY19 state budget with arts funding requested by the S.C. Arts Commission completely intact – which includes a $350,000 increase from the House and a $100,000 increase from the Senate.
We’re grateful for BIPARTISAN support for the arts from the legislative and executive branches. THANK YOU to the state leadership for affirming what we live and breathe every day: the arts benefit everyone, and everyone should have access to them.
It’s a great day for the arts in South Carolina!
