Call for exhibitions at Columbia College

Proposals being considered for 2025/2026

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 30, 2024


Goodall Gallery at Columbia College welcomes solo, duo, and group exhibition proposals, open to all artistic disciplines, media, and concepts.

Located in the Spears Center for the Arts, the gallery presents high-quality exhibitions featuring local, regional, national, and international artists to educate, enrich, and engage the students, the campus, and the public. We are interested in innovative approaches that address contemporary issues and/or contribute to a diverse cultural landscape through a personal language and voice.

Applicants may not be full-time or part-time undergraduate students at the time of submission.


Submissions

To submit a proposal, send all materials in a single .pdf to: bwatkins@columbiasc.edu. If you are applying as a duo, collective, or group show, the application should be submitted by a single lead applicant.

Required Documents

Provide a single .pdf that includes the following:

  1. Artist résumé or CV.
  2. Abbreviated artist statement
  3. Up to one-page proposal
  4. Brief bio
  5. Work Samples (10-15 images).
    1. Images must be high resolution JPEG files, 72ppi, and 1280 pixels on the longest dimension.
    2. File names = LastName_ArtworkTitle.jpg.
  6. If submitting video or time-based artwork, include direct URL(s) to each video. Maximum running length for consideration= 5min/file. The links may be excerpts from longer works. Indicate special instructions for the committee if necessary.
  7. Artwork Inventory Sheet. Include a thumbnail image or title of artwork, dimensions, media, and year.
