Spring Book Sale is back

The Friends of Greenwood County Library are excited to share that the Spring Book Sale is coming back April 12-17.

They asked The Hub to share with readers that among the many types are these particular art and music books:

  • both instructional how-to’s and famous works
  • large format museum exhibition  books
  • artists’ biographies
  • vinyl records & CDs
  • biographies of famous musicians

Now to mention the traditional fiction, biographies, children’s and teens, religion, hobbies, classics, war, cookbooks, travel, history, sports, adventure, science and nature, and electronic media such as DVD’s and audiobooks. The sale starts Wednesday, April 12 (1-5:30 p.m.), runs normal library hours Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, is closed Sunday, and ends Monday, April 17 when it runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Unlike most things nowadays, we haven’t increased our prices in many years, so the books are even more of a bargain than ever,” said Dana Ellis, the library’s volunteer coordinator.

The money raised supports library programs for children, teens, and adults throughout the Greenwood community.

The Greenwood County Library is in Greenwood (600 South Main St.), which is part of a South Carolina Cultural District.
