World War II Radio Hour

The Timrod Library will be transformed into a 1940’s radio studio when resident storyteller Tim Lowry presents his one-man show “The World War II Radio Hour.” Audience members can swing to the tunes of Glenn Miller, laugh at the antics of Fibber McGee and Molly, and “go back to the thrilling days of yesteryear” with the Lone Ranger! Lowry will combine vintage radio clips and live narrative to tell stories of America’s Greatest Generation. The show begins at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 15 at the Timrod Library at 217 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC. Tickets are $15 per person and include delicacies and drinks from Summerville’s famous “Sweet Tea Trail.” Seating is limited and advance purchase of tickets is strongly recommended.
