Wind Symphony Concert

South Carolina School of the Arts presents the Anderson University Wind Symphony under the direction of Dr. Andrew Pettus March 7 in Henderson Auditorium. This concert centers around one piece: James Barnes’ Third Symphony, Op. 89, “a major work for concert band… commissioned by the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington, D.C.” This impressive piece is inspired by tragedy as Barnes began composing this work shortly after the death of his infant daughter, Natalie.
