We’ll Always Have Paris
No one knows romance better than the French, and this certainly applies to their chamber music as well. Charleston Symphony presents We’ll Always Have Paris, November 15th and 16th at Charleston Library Society. It’s an evening of (mostly) French music designed to evoke the feeling of a midnight stroll through the world’s most romantic city. The program starts with Fauré’s sweet and sensual Berceuse and ends with Franck’s intensely emotive Piano Quintet in f minor, which Franck dedicated to and performed with his friend, Camille Saint-Saëns. The CSO welcomes the return of internationally renowned pianist Jihye Chang for this performance.
