Violinist William Preucil in Concert
Distinguished Visiting Professor of Violin at Furman University, William Preucil, will be the featured artist in a concert presented by the Furman Faculty Chamber Music Series, February 22 at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall, on campus in Greenville. For the recital, “An Evening of Brahms,” Preucil will perform with Furman music faculty members David Gross (piano), Thomas Joiner (violin), Anna Barbrey Joiner (viola) and Christopher Hutton (violoncello). Preucil, celebrating nine years as a member of the Furman faculty, was appointed concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra in 1995. He has has appeared regularly as a soloist performances at both Severance Hall and the annual Blossom Festival.
