Verse and Voices: A Convening of Poet Laureates featuring Joy Harjo
The Peace Center is proud to present Verse and Voices: A Convening of Poet Laureates, a day of poetry featuring former US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo; NC Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green; former Kentucky Poet Laureate Crystal Wilkinson; former Poet Laureate of Columbia, SC Ed Madden; and Greenville, SC Poet Laureate Glenis Redmond.
Poets and spoken word enthusiasts can discuss process and inspiration during a panel discussion with the Poet Laureates at 3 p.m.
At 7:30 p.m., poetry readings will be presented by co-host Glenis Redmond, Jaki Shelton Green, Crystal Wilkinson, and Ed Madden with a keynote by former US Poet Laureate Joy Harjo.
Books written by the poet laureates will be provided for purchase by M. Judson Bookseller.
Tickets are $25 for each individual event; $40 for both.
