USC Symphony Orchestra: Berlioz Requiem

The Berlioz Requiem is a monumental work that calls for a huge orchestra, a massive choir and a tenor soloist. Nearly 400 performers take to the Koger Center stage for this rare event, April 21 at 7:30. This is only the second time the work has been performed in Columbia. The USC Concert Choir, University Chorus and the Coker College Singers join the USC Symphony Orchestra and guest artist, Christian Šebek, who is currently performing on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera. The New York Times praised Šebek as “possessing a marvelous voice,” and the Houston Chronicle extolled his singing as “full of visceral excitement.” Tickets on sale at
