USC Symphony Orchestra: A Prodigy Returns
Violinist Zeyu Victor Li joins the USC Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, March 24 at 7:30. He returns to the Koger stage to play Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in G minor. Back by popular demand, the 18-year-old Chinese violin virtuoso has been praised for his technical mastery and exuberance. Free Times wrote in a 2013 review, “Zeyu’s technique, the precision, pitch accuracy and musical delivery were astonishing.” Winners of the 2014-2015 USC Concerto-Aria Competition will also perform on this concert: Cera Finney, voice; John Siarris, voice; Levi Cull, timpani; and Susan Zhang, piano.
