USC Fall Literary Festival: Richard Michelson

The University of South Carolina’s Fall Literary Festival brings three major authors to campus for readings at the Ernest F. Hollings Library. Richard Michelson will read October 31 at 6 p.m. Author of books for children, teens and adults, Michelson is the only writer awarded both the Sydney Taylor Gold and Silver Medals in a single year from the Association of Jewish Librarians. His books for children include As Good As Anybody: Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Joshua Heschel’s Amazing March toward Freedom, and A is for Abraham: A Jewish Family Alphabet. Free. Terrance Hayes and Lydia Millet will visit campus for readings October 26 and November 9, respectively.
