Tyrone Geter: Brave New World

Redux Contemporary Art Center is excited to announce the opening of Brave New World, a solo exhibition by celebrated artist Tyrone Geter. Curated by Leila Davenport Ross of Show & Tell Art and Design, Brave New World is the most recent series of Geter’s large-scale charcoal drawings, and accompanying found art sculptures, focusing on families and mostly children and the inherited burden of the climate crisis. Geter’s work shows both the harsh truth of the subject’s reality of bearing the brunt of this burden, as well as their strength and power to adapt, providing the audience with a sense of awe of their strength and with their evolution and hope for our collective future. The exhibit will be on view at Redux from March 29-May 18, 2024.

A free opening reception will take place on Friday, March 29, from 5-8 p.m. at Redux. A Member Preview & Artist Talk will take place on Thursday, March 28, from 5-8 p.m. at Redux.
