Tristana

The Edwards College Film Series of Coastal Carolina University presents Tristana, October 29th at 5 p.m., in the Johnson Auditorium within the Wall College of Business, on campus in Conway. Nominated for the 1970 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Luis Buñuel’s Tristana is based on the eponymous novel by Benito Pérez Galdós. This film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. Following the screening, JoAnne Flanders, senior instructor in the Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies, leads a discussion on the cultural context of the film.
