Travelers Rest Theatre Festival at Trailblazer Park
Welcome to the first ever Travelers Rest Theatre Festival! (It’s about time we had “Shakespeare in the Park.”) We are excited to present four performances of two different shows: Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; and Phantom in the Park (starring several actors who have appeared in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera & also featuring local talent). Tickets are free. Performances Fridays and Sundays, August 13-22, 2021.
From The Phantom of the Opera to Phantom in the Park…
Kimilee Bryant (Founder and Artistic Director of PART), native of Greenville and Miss South Carolina 1989, has performed the role of Christine Daae on Broadway, internationally, and on the US tour. She’s also taken a turn as diva La Carlotta and the Ballet Mistress, Madame Giry – the only former Christine to return to play all three roles. Sean MacLaughlin performed the role of Raoul on Broadway and on the US tour. Michele McConnell became the longest-running Broadway Carlotta in March 2016 with over 1700 performances in the role.
