Throwing the Mud

Columbia Art Center offers Throwing the Mud on Thursdays from November 7 – December 19. This wheel class is dedicated to teaching youth ages 10-14 who want to learn to throw pottery. Some of the skills that will be taught include learning to center clay on the wheel, throwing shapes, and trimming and glazing. Registration fee of $90 covers instruction and operational costs. Students must have their own beginning pottery tool kit. (Available at the Art Center for $10). Minimum number of student is 3 and maximum will be 8. There are 2 instructors who will rotate sessions. Registration is required ahead of the scheduled class dates.
