Three French Farces
The Club Théâtre de l’Alliance française de Columbia performs at the Columbia Museum of Art February 17 and 19. The performance features two short domestic spats gone comically awry – The Farce of the Washtub and The Farce of the Fart – together with the most famous legal satire involving sheep ever written, The Farce of Maître Pathelin. All complemented by live acoustic guitar renderings of French medieval tunes. Performed in French prose and verse, with English synopses and lyrics provided.
