The Sound of Music

For the second time in its history, Southern Wesleyan University will present “The Sound of Music” as the spring student production, in Folger Auditorium on the university’s campus in Central. This popular musical tells the story of love and marriage between Captain von Trapp and Maria Rainer, the young postulate who comes to take care of the Captain’s seven children, and their subsequent courageous escape from the clutches of the Third Reich. With such well-loved tunes as “Do-re-mi,” “Edelweiss,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” the musical is part of Southern Wesleyan University’s annual Fine Arts Series. Performances are March 20 & 21 at 7:30 p.m., March 27 at 7:30 p.m., and March 28 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
