The Role of Public Art in Thriving Communities

Two internationally recognized artists will discuss how public art transforms civic spaces and communities April 18 at West Ashley Theatre Center. Guest speakers Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt, Miami-based founding partners of R & R Studios, will share their approach to public art and public architecture and the relationship to civic space and the community. Hosted by the Charleston Parks Conservancy in association with the Office of the Mayor of the City of Charleston and the City of Charleston’s Commission on the Arts. Free, but registration is required. Limited seating.
