The Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island
The Public Art Exhibition on Hilton Head Island includes 20 large-scale sculptures, created by artists from across the country, gracing the natural surroundings of Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn on Hilton Head Island. Sponsored by the Public Art Fund of Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, this biennial event draws thousands of visitors and school groups during its three-month run from October 1 through December 31. The full exhibition takes viewers “around the Horn,” a nearly mile-long trail with views and access to two boardwalks onto Jarvis Creek on Calibogue Sound, camellia gardens, a butterfly shed and a historic cemetery. Admission is free and the exhibition is open during the museum’s regular business hours.
