The Light in the Piazza in Concert

The Light in the Piazza, a 2005 Tony Award-winning musical, tells the story of an American mother and daughter spending a summer abroad in 1950s Italy and how their lives are changed when the daughter falls in love with a young Italian man. Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Music presents a concert version of the work originally written by Craig Lucas and composed by Adam Guettel. D. Scott Ferguson, teaching associate in CCU’s Department of Music, directs the production. Performances are April 18th at 7:30 p.m. and April 19th at 4:30 p.m., in Wheelwright Auditorium on campus in Conway.
