The Grand Strand Jazz Orchestra Presents Blues and the Abstract Truth

“The Blues and the Abstract Truth” was a landmark jazz album of the early 1960s featuring top notch musicians (Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard and more) playing the compositions of Oliver Nelson, who would later be known for his contributions to film and television music. Join the Grand Strand Jazz Orchestra, an organization dedicated to preserving the art of Big Band Jazz, for a recreation of this historic music, featuring area jazz musicians including faculty and alumni of Coastal Carolina University, November 15th in Wheelwright Auditorium.
