The First Annual Clemson Jazz Guitar Festival and Tim Haden Memorial Concert

The First Annual Clemson Jazz Guitar Festival is October 15th & 16th at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. The festival kicks off Thursday night with a Jazz Jam Session at Season by the Lake Restaurant (Madren Convention Center), from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, featuring Barry Greene, Howard Paul, and members of the Clemson Faculty Jazz Combo. Friday’s offerings include The History of the Archtop Guitar/Benedetto Jazz Guitar Display, with Howard Paul; a Gypsy Jazz Workshop/Gypsy Guitar Display, with Jerry Sims and Andy; a clinic with Barry Greene; student ensemble performances and masterclasses; Tales From The Studio with Steve Watson; and a Guitar Ensemble Reading Session with Bert Ligon. The festival wraps up with the Tim Haden Memorial Guitar Concert Friday night from 8 to 10pm. Concert tickets are $10 for adults (free for students).
