Talbot Easton Selby, “Conjure”
Artspace 506 in North Myrtle Beach presents a solo exhibition featuring the works of Talbot Easton Selby. “Conjure” is a photographic, sculptural, and mystical experience for the gallery visitor. The first floor gallery is an immersive engagement where Selby takes the viewer into a zone somewhere in the deep south of the United States, perhaps to the artist’s own roots in Mississippi, with myriad references to the spirits, mysteries and superstitions of the deep south. The second floor gallery contains stunning black and white photographs that expand the experiences of the ground floor installation. The exhibition opens September 15th and continues through November 12th. Artspace 506 is free and open to the public Wednesday – Saturday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
