Surge and Sequence
Meeting Street Gallery Presents “Surge and Sequence” by Mary Robinson/Sara Schneckloth, on view May 15th through June 19th. Mary Robinson and Sara Schneckloth’s images create an environment that inspires questions about natural forms and the meanings embedded within them. Branches, streams, currents, and flows all intricately layer in their mixed media prints and drawings, as both artists capture natural systems in flux. Drawing with ink, watercolor, graphite, wax, and colored pencil, Schneckloth blends the body’s gesture with the work of raw material. Robinson’s printmaking process is marked by attention to nesting and layering forms as a way to create deep internal space. Through their parallel creative processes, they each are driven by curiosity, discovery, and open interpretation. Opening Reception-May 15th,5-8pm.
