Sugar Skull Workshop
The Mexican tradition of Sugar Skulls or Calaveras holds a lively yet macabre beauty. City of Columbia Parks and Recreation offers a workhop in making your own hauntingly beautiful creation, May 21 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Art Center. Led by Olga Yukhno, students will design and build a unique ceramic sugar skull mastering various techniques. All materials and tools are provided. Bring your own lunch. Appropriate for teens through adults. $60 registration fee due by deadline of May 6. Class size limited to 4 minimum and 10 maximum.
