Spoleto Festival USA 2017 Season
For 17 days and nights each spring, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music. The 2017 season takes place May 26 through June 11, and tickets are on sale now. Highlights include Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin, Irish theater company Druid’s production of Waiting for Godot, jazz icon Dee Dee Bridgewater, a world premiere by tap dancer Ayodele Casel, and a special Spoleto Celebration Concert featuring the Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra, the Westminster Choir, and musicians from the Bank of America Chamber Music series.
