Spartanburg Philharmonic: A Latin Flavor
Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra takes on A Latin Flavor, when joined by guitarist Pepe Romero for a trip From Spain to the Americas. The program features a mix of Spanish flavored music, as the SPO celebrates Cinco de Mayo with music by Paizzolla, Ginastera, Copland and Bernstein. Legendary soloist Pepe Romero brings the timeless Rodrigo Aranjuez concerto to Sparkle City. Saturday April 30 at 7:00pm, at Twichell Auditorium, Converse College. Under the baton of Artistic Director Sarah Ioannides, the Music Foundation of Spartanburg is dedicated to the purpose of enriching the Spartanburg community and surrounding areas through performance of classical music by the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, both for entertainment and educational outreach.
