South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Choral Concert: Cantus Chamber Choir and the Governor’s School Choir

The S.C. Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Music Department presents the Cantus Chamber Choir and the Governor’s School Choir December 8 at 7:30 p.m.  at Buncombe St. United Methodist in Greenville. Musical works to be performed include “Gloria” by John Rutter with organ, brass, and percussion, “Lux aurumque” by Eric Whitacre, and movements from Randall Thompson’s Frostiana. The Chamber Choir, comprised of 21 vocal students, will perform a cappella motets for the Christmas Season by Victoria, Elgar, Mendelssohn and Clarke. The Governor’s School Choir includes all 94 musicians in the SCGSAH Music Department. Free.
