South Carolina 1775 – Exhibition at The Powder Magazine
Perhaps tea parties and burning effigies conjure thoughts of Revolutionary New England, but did you know South Carolinians took similar actions? Visit The Powder Magazine museum in Charleston, April 19th – Memorial Day, to discover South Carolina 1775. This auxiliary exhibit features an interactive kiosk with artwork courtesy of The Gibbes Museum of Art and is complemented by Revolutionary artifacts, including two rarely seen 18th-century muskets. The Powder Magazine is open Monday – Saturday 10am – 4pm and Sunday 1pm – 4pm. $5 Adults, $2 Children.
