Soulful Strings: Indian Classical Music Concert featuring Anupama Bhagwat, sitar

Her sensitivity and erudition has taken her to the highest echelons of the modern genre, while remaining true to tradition. Her style is characterized by scintillating fast taans, mastery of the meditative alaap, and brilliant fluency of melody (raagbhava). Anupama Bhagwat will give a concert of Indian classical music, part of the Soulful Strings series, presented by The University of South Carolina School of Music, at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 5 at the USC School of Music Recital Hall.
