Song of the Sea – Summer Art Movies
Spartanburg Art Museum hosts Song of the Sea as part of its Summer Art Movies, June 30 at 7PM. From the creators of the Academy Award®-nominated “The Secret of Kells” comes a hand-drawn masterpiece based on the Irish legend of the Selkies, which tells the story of the last seal-child, Saoirse, and her brother Ben, who go on an epic journey to save the world of magic and discover the secrets of their past. Films are projected onto the museum’s 15-foot high walls after a brief introduction by a SAM staff member. All films are family-friendly and a cash bar with fresh popcorn is open during the event. Free admission (suggested donation $3).
