Sidney Outlaw and Warren Jones In Concert

Romantic impulses. Complicated relationships. Existential crises. Timeless stories.
HALO presents Grammy-nominated singer Sidney Outlaw and acclaimed Warren Jones in concert at St. Johannes Lutheran Church on September 15 at 2 p.m.
Sidney and Warren will perform a powerful new song cycle, 26 Ways of Looking at a Black Man, by Atlanta-based composer B.E. Boykin, set to the poetry of Raymond Patterson. This piece explores the experiences of Black men in America, touching on themes of legacy, love, resilience, and cultural identity. It’s an emotional work which blends elements of Western classical music with rich cultural nuances from Black experiences.
Also on the concert are pieces by Brahms, Rossini, and Duparc, performed in original language with English subtitles.
