Screening of Wayne White’s Beauty is Embarrassing

Spartanburg Art Museum continues its series of free art movie screenings with Wayne White’s Beauty is Embarrassing, April 30th at 7 pm. Raised in the Tennessee mountains, White started his career as a cartoonist in New York City. The movie chronicles the vaulted highs and crushing lows of an artist struggling to find peace and balance between his professional work and his personal art. The film runs one hour and 28 minutes and will be projected onto the 15-foot-high walls of the Museum. The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with museum curators. This is a family-friendly event, with fresh popcorn and a cash bar.
