Arts Daily / SAY IT LOUD

SAY IT LOUD, an exhibition of contemporary art from the Collection of Hedy Fischer and Randy Shull, explores the difficult and complex cultural and political issues facing America. The exhibition illustrates the struggles and achievements of African Americans and challenges dominant historical perspectives with powerful work that is sometimes tough and raw but squarely focused on narratives of ethnic identity, institutional racism, gender and beauty. SAY IT LOUD is open to the public by appointment at 22 London Road in Asheville, North Carolina from September 29 – October 28. The opening reception takes place September 29 from 6–10 p.m. 22 London is Shull’s 10,000 square foot studio and an exhibition space for curated contemporary art events. Free.
