SAMSARA – Summer Art Movies
Spartanburg Art Museum continues its Summer Art Movies with SAMSARA, August 30 at 7PM. Free admission (suggested donation $3). SAMSARA is a Sanskrit word that means “the ever turning wheel of life” and is the point of departure for the filmmakers as they search for the elusive current of interconnection that runs through our lives. Filmed over a period of almost five years and in twenty-five countries, SAMSARA transports us to sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial sites, and natural wonders. Films are projected onto the museum’s 15-foot high walls after a brief introduction by a SAM staff member. All films are family-friendly and a cash bar with fresh popcorn is open during the event. Free admission (suggested donation $3).
