Roméo et Juliette
GLOW Lyric Theatre, South Carolina’s only professional opera company, presents Gounod’s opera “Roméo et Juliette,” July 27 at 8:00pm and July 31 at 2:00pm at Furman’s McAlister Auditorium. The opera features tenor Wesley Morgan as Roméo, soprano Ruth Brooks as Juliette, and Bass Jeffrey Beruan as Friar Lawrence. Maestro Christian Elser conducts the GLOW Chamber Orchestra. Sung in French with English supertitles. A celebration of Shakespeare, the GLOW Lyric Theatre 2016 Festival Season of “Roméo et Juliette” and “West Side Story” takes place over one week: July 27-31. Several other special events including cabaret performances and lectures will also be presented.
