This production will feature live music by the newly formed South Carolina Ballet Orchestra under the baton of esteemed conductor Scott Weiss. Staged by William Starrett. William Starrett, South Carolina Ballet’s CEO and Artistic Director, first brought his vision of Romeo and Juliet to the stage in 1985. This latest staging continues his legacy of blending Shakespeare’s timeless tale with the evocative power of ballet. Romeo and Juliet remains one of the most beloved ballets worldwide.
