“Retrospective of Black Is Beautiful” Concert by Izms of Art

The Columbia Museum of Art hosts a live broadcast of “Retrospective of Black Is Beautiful,” a concert by Izms of Art, celebrating the themes in the exhibition Black Is Beautiful: The Photography of Kwame Brathwaite. The event features virtual musical performances from BORN; K.Ford; and THE Dubber, who will debut singles from his album, Southern Cachet. Izms of Art has collectively and individually participated in over 80 exhibits and events since the group’s conception in 2007. They’re known for their broad range as artists as well as the creators and organizers of events featuring visual art accompanied by performance art. The August 20th concert is free and suitable for all ages.
