Reflections on Darkness and Light

Columbia Choral Society presents Reflections on Darkness and Light June 9 at 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charleston as part of Piccolo Spoleto. Inspired by the solar eclipse, the performance will feature a collection of contemporary composers including Morten Lauridsen, a groundbreaking choral music composer and a recipient of the ASCAP Foundation Life in Music Award; Rollo A. Dilworth, who began arranging at the age of 11 and later in life began exploring spirituals and gospel-inspired works; and Eric Whitacre, a Grammy-winning composer, conductor, speaker, and teacher.
