Question Bridge: Black Males Lecture by Chris Johnson
The Halsey Institute will present an illustrated talk by Chris Johnson April 8 at 2 p.m. at the Simons Center for the Arts. Johnson will summarize issues related to the history, creation and outcomes of the Question Bridge: Black Males project, which was recently added to the permanent collection of the new Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture. In 1996, Johnson produced Question Bridge, a video that investigates class issues within the black community. The current version, Question Bridge: Black Males, was produced with artist Hank Willis Thomas and a team including Kamal Sinclair and Bayeté Ross Smith.
