Puccini’s Tosca

Theatro Li Rico D’Europa presents Puccini’s Tosca January 20 at 4 p.m. at the Newberry Opera House. The brilliant composer brings three main figures to life. Floria Tosca is a famous opera singer, and her lover is Mario Cavaradossi, a sensitive artist, who is madly in love with Tosca. Tosca and Cavaradossi are caught in the web of the evil Baron Scarpia, chief of the Roman police. Tragedy adds drama, music adds beauty. Tickets $35 – $45.
