Pottery, Glazing and Candlestick Making

Sumter County Museum presents Pottery, Glazing and Candlestick Making December 1 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  This living history craft class is designed for ages 8-17. Costumed interpreters will teach students how to create period candlestick holders out of local clay, as well as hand-dipped candles. To celebrate Christmas, there will be cider and cookies in the log cabin and period games. The main building, the Williams-Brice House, will be decorated for the season. $25 for members and $30 for the public.
