Plastic Icons: Works Katie Kameen & Tabitha Ott

Exploring our consume-and-discard culture, Katie Kameen and Tabitha Ott transform jettisoned plastics into interactive, wearable works of art and sculpture. Each creates unique, playful pieces that challenge and reconfigure the viewer’s stereotypes by engaging tactile sensory memory. The Arts Council of York County presents Plastic Icons, an exhibition of works by Kameen and Ott, on view March 20th through April 26th at the Center for the Arts in Rock Hill. There will also be a Runway Exhibition and Dance Party, MC’d and DJ’d by DJ Fannie Mae, March 20th at 7 PM; tickets online.
