Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds
The Mint Museum hosts Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds as part of the Picasso Celebration 1973-2023
Picasso Landscapes: Out of Bounds, debuting February 11-May 21, 2023 at The Mint Museum in uptown Charlotte, is the first traveling exhibition in the United States to feature Pablo Picasso’s lifelong exploration with landscapes. The Mint is the first of only two venues in the United States — and the only venue on the East Coast — to host Picasso Landscapes.
The Picasso Celebration 1973–2023 is structured around some 50 exhibitions and events held at renowned cultural institutions in Europe and North America that commemorate works by the Spanish artist. The Mint’s exhibition is the only United States museum exhibition included in the Picasso Celebration that will be on view April 8, 2023, the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death.
