“Fascinated by the idea that color and shape can be language, my work often uses signal flags or traffic signs as a point of departure. Pushing beyond the parameters of solid color, simple shape, and succinct communication, I relax and extend the syntax of flags and signs to explore the idea that color and shape alone can form a language of storytelling and navigation.” — Dana Jones
