The Museum of York County’s new exhibit “Only Owls” runs from November 7th through February 28th. Two-dimensional works by over 30 artists created in pencil, ink, watercolor, and woodcut explore the world of owls. The artists’ renderings capture the intriguing nature and distinctive characteristics of 16 species of owls from around the world. Complementing the artwork, which is a traveling exhibit from the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, “Only Owls” includes an assortment of mounted owls from the Museum of York County’s natural history collection. The three-dimensional component includes the Carolina Piedmont’s Great Horned Owl, Barred Owl, Screech Owl, and Barn Owl.
