Online Performances of She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms
Agnes Evans is a young woman coming to terms with the death of her geeky kid sister, Tilly, when she discovers Tilly’s homemade Dungeons and Dragons module and embarks on a quest to complete her sibling’s game, becoming immersed in an imaginary realm that opens her eyes to a fantastical world of secrets. The University of South Carolina Department of Theatre and Dance presents Qui Nguyen’s comedy-adventure She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms, specially adapted for online performance. The play is a raucous journey through the land of elves, wizards and faeries that The New York Times says “will slash and shapeshift its way into your heart.” Directed by Lindsay Rae Taylor, performances will stream November 6th through 15th, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Admission is free, with an option for donation.
